The DGC-2020 is a highly advanced integrated genset control system that provides genset control, transfer switch control, metering, protection and
programmable logic in a simple, easy to use, reliable, rugged, and cost effective package.
It includes the option for Modbus communications with RS-485, plus optional remote dial-out and
dial-in capability with internal modem. The RS485 can be used to integrated your engine or genset
into an overall power management system and the modem can contact the maintenance supervisor of any service issues.
Program the DGC-2020 with easy to use front panel navigation keys and the large LCD display or with the enhanced BESTCOMSPlus PC software. Either way, the easy to follow menus make setup
and configuration fast and simple.Within BESTCOMSPlus, we have provided a very powerful user
-friendly programmable logic program that allows the user to meet specifications that previously would have required an additional PLC to meet.
BESTCOMSPlus is included at no additional cost and provides for remote communications, file transfer and file management.

Setting up USB Communication
If connecting to the DGC-2020 through a USB cable, select USB via Serial RS232, USB, and enter
the COM Port. The USB drivers are installed automatically during the BESTCOMSPlus installation process.
To select the correct COM Port on your computer:
- Right-Click on “Start” on your computer.
- Select “Explore”
- Right-Click on “My Computer”
- Select “Manage”
- Select “Device Manager”
- Expand the Ports (COM & LPT) branch.
- Locate the device named CP2101 USB to UART Bridge Controller (COMx).
- The COM Port number will be displayed in parenthesis (COMx).
Note: Be sure operating power is applied to the DGC-2020 and the USB cable is connected before opening the Device Manager.
