Basler Training Opportunities in North
America
Basler
Distributed Generation School
The next Basler Electric Distributed
Generation School will be held March
26-29, 2012, in the St. Louis, MO area
Learn about control and protection
required in a variety of distributed
generation applications. The school
covers a wide range of situations from
operating in parallel with a
distribution network to applying engine
control systems on standby and portable
equipment.

Basler Power Control
and Protection Conference
The next Power Control and Protection
Conference is planned for October 1-5, 2012, in the St. Louis, MO area.
This conference is unique because it
provides both a good overview and an
in-depth look at specific aspects of
controlling and protecting electrical
generating power systems. Applications
range from a simple genset, to larger
generators, to complex systems with
multiple generators running in parallel.
The relay portion of the conference is
aimed at providing an entry-level
introduction to generation protection
applications.

Training Update page.
ECS2100 Excitation
System Training Course

We hold these courses throughout the
year in Highland Illinois. The next
course is planned for May 14-18, 2012.
The five-day class covers: -
Configuration - Maintenance -
Troubleshooting
Students receive a comprehensive
overview of the hardware configuration
of the ECS2100 and an extended review of
the configuration software (ccTool).
Students will learn the basic
configuration of the ECS2100 system with
an emphasis on the actual hardware
included in each system, to allow a
better understanding of the necessary
maintenance and troubleshooting of the
system. The review of ccTool allows the
student to understand and use the
various aspects of the program to
configure the ECS2100, use the software
for troubleshooting or maintenance, and to
change settings in the device.
This course is not intended to instruct
the student in commissioning an ECS2100,
but to provide them with a basic
understanding of the hardware and
software that makes up an ECS2100
system.
To receive an invitation to the next
course, please register on the
Training Update page.

Basler DECS
Training in France

Session will be
held throughout 2012.
The session,
held near Basler Electric France,
starts with fundamentals on alternator
basics and theory to give participants a
solid foundation, then focuses on
specialized Basler Electric products
including regulators and excitation
systems. The next step involves hands-on
practice on our fully-protected test
bench. Upon request, training may be
designed to incorporate a more
customized presentation built around a
Basler system purchased by a client or
on a specific interest (for example,
protective relays, genset control,
synchronizing). Typically, the last day
is open for small group question and
answer sessions. Training ends with an
overview of the week’s lessons.
Participants receive a certificate of
participation at the end of the course.
Basler Electric France is located in
Wasselonne, just 25km outside Strasbourg
City.
