Do your applications require superior sync-check protection?

The microprocessor-based ES-25 relay measures phase angle and voltage independently.
When closing a circuit breaker to connect a generator to an already energized circuit, it is important to match the phase angle and the voltage. The goal of a sync-check relay is to minimize transient disturbances and prevent damage to the system and the generators.
Many industrial relays perform sync check by measuring only the voltage difference percentage, without the ability to also set the angle difference. Having independent voltage and angle controls allows for tighter synchronization windows, which provides enhanced protection against machine damage or system disturbance.
In addition to the benefit of having an independent phase-angle setting, the ES-25 allows a wider voltage difference range setting (5-30%) than other industrial relays.
