BE1-11m Motor Protection SystemThe BE1-11m is a multifunction relay that provides comprehensive motor protection, control, and monitoring.

Features included in this relay, such as a thermal model (49TC), RTD monitoring (49RTD), under and overcurrent (37/50), and differential (87), and over and underfrequency (81O/U), underpower (32), and power factor (55) make this system ideal for medium, large, and critical motor applications.

The BE1-11m is a complete motor protection system providing protection, control, monitoring and metering for induction and synchronous motors.
Available in compact
S1 size case.

Standard features include:

  • Complete thermal model with standard, IEC, or fully custom thermal limit curves. Adapts to the actual thermal, changing inertia conditions and dynamic voltage conditions of the protected motor.
  • Each overcurrent element can be individually set for forward or reverse directional or non-directional control. Voltage control and restraint are included within the phase overcurrent elements to provide maximum functional flexibility for any application.
  • Large, high-contrast LCD display provides a menu tree with progress bars that make the front panel navigation intuitive and allows users to tailor local indication and control functions, including metering, alarm annunciation, and control switch position.
  • Selectable protocols support integration with SCADA and distributed control systems.
  • Optional second set of CTs for optional Differential or user defined backup protection of other motors or local loads. • Synchronous motor pullout/loss of synchronization protection included.
  • Sensitive Earth Fault protection available.
  • User programmable variable and switch names make the relay's settings and logic completely self-documenting.
  • High-speed BESTCOMSPlus® user interface via USB.
  • RS-485 and copper or fiber Ethernet communications for BESTCOMSPlus®, BESTnet™Plus, Modbus™, and DNP3 protocols.
  • Twenty-four industry standard timing curves, four custom table curves and one user programmable curve provide flexibility to meet specific protection applications.
  • User-selectable triggers for Web page and email alarm reporting.
  • Optional remote RTD module provides a choice of RTD types and analog input and output channels.
  • 10/100Mbit copper or 100Mbit fiber Ethernet with IEC 61850.
  • Includes real time clock with 8-hour ride through and 5-year battery backup.
  • Compact S1 size and available adapter plates simplify retrofitting existing installations.

Enhancement Accessories for the BE1-11m

Remote RTD ModuleBE1-11m RTD Module

Remote RTD Module provides up to 12 remote RTD inputs, 4 remote analog inputs, and 4 remote analog outputs for the BE1-11m. The Remote RTD Module communicates with the BE1-11m through either a RS-485 connection or copper Ethernet or an optional fiber Ethernet connection

Two Remote RTD Modules may be connected to a single BE1-11m Motor Protection System for complete thermal condition monitoring and provide process control monitoring and display capabilities.
