Program the DGC-2020 with easy to use front panel navigation keys and the large LCD display or with the enhanced BESTCOMSPlus PC software. Either way, the easy to follow menus make setup and configuration fast and simple. Within BESTCOMSPlus, we have provided a very powerful, user-friendly programmable logic program that allows the user to meet specifications that previously would have required an additional PLC to meet. BESTCOMSPlus is included at no additional cost and provides for remote communications, file transfer and file management. Request a copy online or check for software updates.

DGC-50 Digital Genset Controller
 

The DGC-50 controller provides key switch starting and stopping of an engine, automatic control of engine glow plugs, and front panel annunciation of engine/genset conditions. The DGC-50 provides protection by automatically shutting down the engine when abnormal operating conditions are detected.

Features include

  • Rugged design suitable for direct mounting on an engine.
  • Accepts 12 or 24Vdc battery power.
  • Engine starting and stopping through front panel key switch or remotely located key switch.
  • Automatic timer-controlled energizing of engine glow plugs through key switch.
  • Engine speed detection through magnetic pickup (style 3X) or generator frequency (style 1X or 2X)
  • Output contacts provide glow plug control, fuel solenoid control, engine cranking control, and alarm annunciation.
  • Front panel indicators (LEDs) annunciate engine overspeed, loss of engine speed source, battery charger failure, low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, preheat/glow plug circuit energized, and engine shutdown from auxiliary input.
  • Auxiliary contact input permits remote engine shutdown.
  • IEC IP54 front panel rating when key switch is mounted remotely (DGC-50 style XR).
  • CE compliant.

Discontinuation of DGC-500, DGC-1000 and DGC-2000 Digital Genset Controllers
 

With the introduction of the DGC-2020, a unit that offers better performance and functionality, combined with a disruption in our supply change for some components used in the DGC-500, DGC-1000 and DGC-2000, Basler will no longer be able to offer them for sale.

Basler Electric has made every effort to make the transition from the older DGC products to the DGC-2020 as smooth as possible. The mounting hole dimensions are the same as these products and the locations for the interconnection wiring are in the same general areas. No special wire terminations are needed, just cut off the existing lugs, strip the wire and insert it in the new compression style connector. It really could not be simpler to transition to a new DGC-2020 that offers more value than the time proven DGC-500, DGC-1000 and DGC-2000 units.
