The Board of Directors of Basler Electric has announced the promotion of Ken Rhodes to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. Rhodes’ promotion follows the retirement of Gary Dolbeare. Dolbeare had been the President and COO of Basler since 2003.
Rhodes first joined Basler in 1983. From 1983 to 2006, he held various roles in the Engineering and Purchasing departments of Basler eventually being named the Director of Supply Chain Management in 2004.
In 2006 he joined the Sales group as Sales Manager for the Power Systems Group. In 2007, he was promoted to Director of Sales for all product groups within Basler. In 2011, he was named Vice President of Sales and in September 2018, was promoted to Executive Vice President. As Executive Vice President, he was responsible for the Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing functions for all Basler locations, in addition to managing E2 Power Systems, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Basler, as well as Basler’s facilities located in China and Singapore.

Basler Electric is a privately held company based in Highland, Illinois. The company was founded in 1942 and manufactures items for the HVAC and power industries. Basler’s Corporate Office is in Highland, Illinois, USA. The company also has locations in Taylor and San Marcos, Texas; Piedras Negras, Mexico; Suzhou, China; and Singapore; in addition to a wholly-owned subsidiary, E2 Power Systems, LLC, located in Littleton, Colorado.
