Tailored solutions for diverse sectors and challenges.
Hyperscale data center expansion is set to intensify in 2025 as AI and cloud computing drive major infrastructure investments. Goldman Sachs Research forecasts global power demand from data centers will increase 50% by 2027 and 165% by the end of the decade. Continued data center expansion and growing digital demands require more power. Cooling solutions and sustainable energy are two of the biggest concerns for this industry. Because more equipment generates more heat, traditional cooling systems may be seen as inefficient or costly at scale.
The demand for data centers around the world is surging. Because of this, the need for high-power diesel generator sets is also continuously increasing, and international genset manufacturers have been unable to meet customer demand brought about by the market surge.
Basler has been able to help support this supply shortage. For instance, the second-phase project team of a data center located in Asia urgently contacted a domestic OEM supplier of gensets due to the delayed delivery of another manufacturer’s power units. Referring to the original manufacturer’s configuration requirements, the supplier changed the controller to the DGC-2020HD, with a quantity of 15 units. This marked the first domestic adaptation of a major manufacturer’s commonly-used engine with a DGC-2020HD, and the product has since been widely applied in data centers. The functional indicators satisfied the system requirements, winning customer praise.
“Thank you for providing excellent support. We have found the DGC line of controllers to be very powerful and capable, and the factory technical support has been both timely and professional. Thanks again for a great product and even better support!”Customer Testimonial /Data Center
