A reliable power supply to onsite infrastructure is key to the successful operation of a telecommunications company. One company needed a solution for replacing aging equipment at one of their major sites in Orlando, Florida. They turned to a system integrator who implemented DGC-2020HD controllers to improve system reliability and performance. The system comprised two 1,200 kW EMD generators, one 1,250 kW Cummins generator, and two bus tie breakers. The controller automatically started the generators and paralleled them to provide power to the site during a grid outage. The controllers were integrated with a PLC and color touchscreen to create a user-friendly interface.
This system integrated well with the company’s remote monitoring system, which allows users to assess the condition of the power system at each site in real time, and ensured a quality power supply and proactive maintenance.
