When fracturing trucks require stable and reliable power supply during field operations, one or more mobile gas turbine units are combined to form an off-grid power island, providing power supply to the remote electrical equipment. A Basler customer used mobile gas turbine units with a SIEMENS SGT-A05 gas turbine equipped with LS 6300 KVA/10.5 KV generator that generates a maximum output of 5.8 MW.
Basler installed eleven control-set systems for a customer. To ensure stable operation of the unit, in both single-machine and parallel operation modes, each system is equipped with a DECS-250 and BE1-11g, providing excitation control and protection for the generators, and a DGC-2020HD, providing parallel operation and power management control.
The customer targets global oil and gas industry customers and markets related equipment for oil extraction and transportation, such as mobile gas turbine units, fracturing trucks, as well as oil and gas transportation pipelines.
